As a resource, tears are perfect waters to irrigate fields of pain. Ears evolve into deafness to the cries of dying souls when sounds of fired bullets become a familiar symphony. Yet for every gone soul a ghost returns to reveal something more shocking than the bullet hole. To reveal the truth in the statement, β€˜when you kill a man, he becomes immortal.’ As a testimony so true I say even the devils heart grows numb, and though miles apart the gun always calls back the gunslinger. Just like in days so dry battlegrounds thirst for blood, sweat and bodies to waste. You can only perceive a being to be a hero of war if you know not the danger line. ( Extracted from Uncried Tears by Anduvate Ray Solomon)

Through the gates of his home he walked. The reception accorded to him spelled out respect for he had made it back alive. Upon seeing his children and those of the neighbours run towards him, he could not help but break down. These tears carried no representation of joy whatsoever. His tears told the tales of the battlegrounds where he shot fathers in front of their sons and left widows, widowers and orphans. Sad this was as no one paid attention to the meaning of his tears.

His sleep was accompanied by flashback of lifeless bodies they counted each day. A soldier he was, and for every bullet he shot, every grenade he hurled he was digging up a grave. Now that the war is over, he realizes that the grave he was digging is too deep for him to climb out. Furthermore, those above ground have forgotten his existence and are throwing back the soil into the grave to bury him alive.

This pain he could not live with. More so that no one seemed to see it. He drew his battle lines and went to battle. Only that this time this war was betwixt his gun and himself. The gun won the war.

You would want to call them heroes of war yet a man takes no pride in being a beast. It is said spend time to listen even when the voices screaming are much too loud. Read between the lines and follow the patterns that tears paint. For with the wrong diagnosis comes the wrong remedy- the cause of death.
